10 Things I Love About Traveling
My name is Natalie and I am the Savvy Vacationer. I love to travel and I love to write. When I was compiling my list of travel loves, I realized that over the years my list has changed, but for now the following are my 10 best reasons to love travel.
• The unknown. Travel is about experiencing new things and of course, you can plan and plan, but you can’t plan for every situations. Travel has the chance to surprise you and those a few curveballs your ways. As long as you can take them in stride, you still have a good time no matter what is thrown at you.
• The adventure. I love going to new places and seeing new things.
• Trying new food or getting to try old favorites that you can only get while traveling.
• This may sound a little basic, but I love having a freshly made bed every day. Travel, hotels, cruise ships, etc. can make that happen.
• Relaxation. I love to relax and get away from daily stressors of life.
• Getting to have cultural experiences that you may not otherwise get to experience.
• Creating memories is a big one for me. I love to make memories with family and friends. Memories will last a lifetime.
• Getting a different world view. Traveling to different places allows me to see what I am missing out on and what I am fortunate enough to have. I am able to see how others live, work and play and I always come home richer for the experiences.
• Meeting new people. The individuals you meet along the way deeply enhance the experiences you have while traveling. Sometimes you will have w wonderful tour guide or cab driver that goes the extra mile to share the love they have for their home and the exchange with someone like that can truly give you a wonderful experience that you can keep without always.
• Whenever I travel, I get inspired. I’m not sure if it’s being somewhere new or relaxing and avoiding regular daily life, but my creativity goes through the roof when I travel. I come up with great ideas for stories that help propel me forward when I get home.
